With the latest version, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017, which has been on the market since October last year, Microsoft has improved basic functions and is focusing on a deeper integration of Office 365.

Overall, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 has become more intuitive and simpler for users. Many web, app and phone client improvements as well as automated notifications ultimately simplify workflows and save time and therefore costs.

Office 365 integration

Perhaps the most exciting and effective improvement is the direct connection to Office 365. This makes it easier to navigate between Outlook, Excel or other Office programs. Employees can now synchronize their customer data with Dynamics NAV 2017 live directly from the Outlook Web App without leaving Outlook. This allows you to create Outlook quotations directly on site at the customer's premises. The generated documents are then simply sent to the ERP system as a PDF. There they are then prepared for further processing in the system using automatic OCR text recognition.

New user interface

The New preconfigured user interfacethe so-called Roll centerprovides different views depending on the role. The focus is only on the business processes and the information required for processing the respective tasks. Depending on their role, users can concentrate on their key work areas and set up the view in such a way that they can find their way around quickly and easily.

Financial accounting

Also in the Financial accounting some Optimizations made. For example, invoices can be paid more quickly and the OCR service, cash flow and financial reports have been improved. In addition, payment services such as PayPal have also been integrated into the current version of Dynamics NAV.
