Our @NAV-DATEV interface, developed as Add-on solution for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, allows you to easily export and import your financial data from Dynamics NAV into the DATEV format. This way, your financial data can be quickly and easily transferred to the tax advisor or further processed with your own DATEV software. Today, we would like to inform you about setting up our @NAV-DATEV interface or upgrading an existing one and show you the most important steps.
Setting up the @NAV-DATEV interface
First of all, it is necessary to determine which objects are adapted in your NAV system so that the DATEV functionalities can be integrated into your customer objects, if necessary modified. Without modifications, it is possible to directly import the DATEV objects into Dynamics NAV.
It is important in this context that certain objects (tables, pages, etc.) in your NAV application must be „free“ as they are required for setting up the interface.
After setting up the DATEV interface, test bookings are exported. These are checked for accuracy and, after successful testing, the DATEV interface can be taken into productive use in the live system.
The booking data can now be transmitted to DATEV for each booking period, optionally including the personal accounts (debitors/creditors).
The export and import of financial data is possible using the gross and net method.

Upgrading an existing DATEV interface

As part of the introduction of the new DATEV format, we have made some improvements to the @NAV-DATEV interface. The interface is now even more clear and easier to use.
It is important that you do both the initial setup and the upgrade of the @NAV-DATEV interface. in no case have to fear a loss of data. If you are using an older Dynamics NAV version as 2016, our @NAV-DATEV interface is also available after a downgrade of the objects to your deployed NAV application.
