The focus of the changes and improvements with Feature Pack 2 was mainly in the area of cost element and cost center accounting as well as in the area of cost unit accounting.
The following is an excerpt of the most important adjustments:
Cost center accounting:
- Two info boxes have been added to the cost element plan and the cost element card
- The Cost elements - G/L account usage info box can be used to quickly check whether the cost element is stored and for which G/L accounts.
- the cost element plan overview is now in tree view style
- A cost element usage overview makes it easy to check in which other master data tables this cost element is used
- Cost center accounting works on the global dimension 1 (use of a code)
- As allocations play a particularly important role in what are normally monthly activities, usability for users has been improved here
Cost unit accounting:
- Two info boxes have been added to the cost unit chart of accounts and the cost unit chart of accounts
- the cost object chart of accounts overview is now in tree view style
- the cost object account usage overview makes it easy to check in which other master data tables this cost object account is used
- Cost Object Controlling works on the global dimension 2 (use of a code)
- A multidimensional contribution margin calculation was set up according to the cost of sales method (UCM)
In addition, adjustments were made to the cost account schemes and the evaluations for cost center and cost unit accounting.
