The new release notes for Dynamics 365 Business Central version 19 and the Power Platform from Microsoft were published in mid-August.
Application improvements were announced in the areas of finance and supply chain in particular.
We would like to briefly introduce you to some of the new features here
Additional columns and fields: Additional columns and fields have been added to some pages. These pages can be customized by means of personalization (directly by the end user).
Add non-stock items to the request and planning worksheets: Non-stock items, such as services, can be processed in the same way as other item types. This enables a standardized procurement process.
Payment reconciliation book. sheet: There is now a posting preview here. In addition, the financial journal can be reversed from the payment reconciliation ledger sheet.
Bank reconciliation: The layout of the check report has been tidied up to make it easier to read. Bank items are now filtered so that only item items after the end date of the statement are displayed. When applying automatic reconciliation, users can choose to overwrite none of the already reconciled entries or all of them.
Article variants in requirements planning: You can now enter the expected demand not only in terms of locations and dates, but also with article variants.
Business Central and Dataverse: When integrating Business Central with Microsoft Dataverse or Dynamics 365 Sales, both systems often already contain data. Since data in Dataverse can originate from multiple sources, there may be data that you do not want to transfer to Business Central, as this could impact financial reports and other business processes such as invoicing and tax calculations. Bulk linking speeds up the process of linking multiple data sets, while allowing you to set rules to control how the links are made.
This is just a small selection of the innovations announced. You can find a complete overview here.
