The "Cost and Activity Accounting" add-on module for Dynamics NAV is the ideal solution in the area of controlling for carrying out cost analyses and operational evaluations. Requirements such as internal activity allocation, allocations according to all procedures, imputed recurring postings, working with planned costs and evaluating data with the help of self-created analysis views can be easily mapped.

The integrated planning module can be used to carry out traditional cost accounting methods, from actual and standard costing to flexible planned costing and marginal costing.

The cost accounting dimensions, which you can use to introduce further hierarchies in cost center and cost unit accounting and to set up your cost accounting, prove to be very useful. Areas such as product groups, profit centers and segments can be used for the evaluation.

In addition to cost centers and cost units, up to six other dimensions and features can be set up.

The data grouped in this way can be exported to Excel for further processing. They not only form the basis for your analysis views, but are also available for other areas of the company.

Any value flow can be displayed within the main modules Cost Center and Cost Object Accounting as well as across modules in the form of allocation processes between cost centers and cost objects.

Individual interfaces to cost and activity accounting ensure that data from financial accounting is automatically transferred and information from other systems can be easily integrated and processed as required.

In addition, the role-based user interface of Microsoft Dynamics NAV structures the application area according to the function and task of the controlling employee. The advantage is the clear presentation of the activities and features that the controller actually needs. Information that is not required for immediate use is set aside accordingly. The employee has a structured application window at their disposal, which helps them to prioritize better and work more comfortably and productively.
