The biggest advantages of cloud-based use are
- flexibility and scalability (billing according to usage intensity),
- security (no company will be able to secure its data center with the same level of effort as Microsoft),
- in reliability
- the lower liquidity requirement (operating expenses instead of investment expenses)
- in data protection

All so-called deployment models can still be used and it is simply wrong to claim that Microsoft is phasing out the on premise model by no longer supporting the necessary server variants. Rather, the trend towards mixed forms will prevail. When on-premise operation and the cloud model complement each other in this form, it is referred to as a hybrid operating model.
