Here are some important points about the Microsoft Lifecycle:<\/p>\n

    Mainstream support<\/strong>During mainstream support, customers receive updates, security patches and technical support. This period normally lasts\u00a05 years<\/strong>\u00a0after the release of a new version.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Extended Support<\/strong>Mainstream support is followed by extended support. During this phase, security updates continue to be provided, but technical support is limited. Extended Support usually lasts\u00a05 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
