The new major version BC 18 will be released from April 2021. The new features will then be rolled out in stages in the period April 2021 - September 2021 (this is why Microsoft also calls the releases "waves").

From the user's point of view, the following improvements are worth mentioning
- Dimensional correction in real items
- Bank reconciliation and support for creating bank import definitions
- Batch and serial numbers (automatic info cards)
- Dataverse (Common Data Service) integration: It will be possible to display BC tables directly in Dataverse
- Client usability through more assistants and performance
From a developer's point of view, the following improvements are worth mentioning
- Report extensions: It will now be possible to extend standard reports (instead of copying them)
- Keys (index) extensions: It will be possible to create new keys for standard tables and table extensions
