Extended Support for SQL Server 2008 / 2008 R2 will end on July 9, 2019 and six months later - on January 14, 2020 - Extended Support for Windows Server 2008 / 2008 R2 will also end.
From this point on, security updates will no longer be provided and hotfixes and support services will no longer be available.
