Fully integrated solution for Microsoft Dynamics NAV using the example of a hearing protection expert
Fast data entry and a link to the ERP system are essential, especially in the manufacturing industry. Our current reference customer - a hearing protection expert - has switched to the digital age. Despite individual production and the associated high production costs, the work steps can now be viewed in the system at any time.
The product portfolio of the company, which currently employs 55 people and is constantly growing, includes not only hearing protection but also earmolds and in-ear headphones. A quality feature is the individual customer production.
With the Introduction of Dynamics NAV Barcode scanner technology was also introduced in spring 2019. This means that every work step in production is now recorded and digitized via barcode.
The customer receives a large number of orders for custom-made hearing protection products, which go into production every day. A sequential workflow is part of the daily work.
With the help of the ForNAV Designer barcodes with the serial number of the product are generated and printed on the work slip. This work slip is automatically generated and printed for the respective product after the order is received electronically.
The employees scan the barcode, which contains the individual work steps, after each individual production process. Each production step is documented and the data is transferred directly to the Dynamics NAV ERP system. This means that the company can call up the production status of each product in real time at any time.

Barcode scanner technology also plays an important role in shipping. When the outgoing goods document is scanned, the employee is shown whether there are any other products from the same customer in production. Once all products have been produced, they are transferred to the packaging process.
