The Microsoft Lifecycle is an important aspect for the support of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central (BC). This cycle determines how long Microsoft will provide official support for certain product versions. You can now view the new lifecycle on our website.

Here are some important points about the Microsoft Lifecycle:

  1. Mainstream supportDuring mainstream support, customers receive updates, security patches and technical support. This period normally lasts 5 years after the release of a new version.

  2. Extended SupportMainstream support is followed by extended support. During this phase, security updates continue to be provided, but technical support is limited. Extended Support usually lasts 5 years.

  3. End of Life (EOL)After Extended Support, a version reaches the End of Life. This means that Microsoft no longer offers security updates or technical support. Customers should migrate to a newer version.
