Business Central: Version availability/ special rule for existing customers

Important note for existing NAV customers

There is currently a one-time exception for existing NAV customers with an active Enhancement Plan to upgrade their existing NAV license to Business Central On-Premises and still have the option to downgrade to Business Central version 14. The special feature: Version 14 is the last version to support hybrid mode (mix of C/AL and AL development environments) and the last version to include the BC Windows client. Microsoft is only granting this exception until September 30, 2021.

What's new - Dynamics 365 Business Central Version 18

The new major version BC 18 will be released from April 2021. The new features will then be rolled out in stages in the period April 2021 - September 2021 (this is why Microsoft also calls the releases "waves").
