Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 - available now!

As announced by Microsoft at the EMEA Partner Conference, the new version of the proven ERP solution, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018, was released on December 1st.
Dynamics NAV 2018 comes with improvements to the core functionalities, many innovations and exciting features. For example, the integration of Office 365 ("Common Data Service" and the option to edit book sheets in Excel) has been further enhanced. Optimizations have also been made to the web client and its appearance.

The company, which operates large biogas plants, employs around 50 people, 10 of whom are Dynamics NAV users.

With Dynamics NAV, an ERP system was introduced into the company for the first time after the daily business processes made this necessary, as manual processing was no longer economical and manageable. The objective before the start of the project was to develop an industry solution for the biogas plant sector for the standardized and automated handling of purchasing and billing processes.

We would like to present some of our customer projects from various sectors in an ongoing series.
This article is about a project for a customer in the service sector. The company has around 180 employees, of which around 30 use Microsoft Dynamics NAV as a daily tool. The objective was to convert a highly modified system, including an industry solution, back to the NAV standard. The particular challenge lay in merging a very heterogeneous process and system landscape on the one hand and simplifying and reducing the functional steps to a required minimum on the other.
