
The new version of the tried-and-tested ERP solution, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018, has been available since the beginning of December.
Dynamics NAV 2018 comes with improvements to the core functionalities, many innovations and exciting features. For example, the integration of Office 365 ("Common Data Service" and the option to edit book sheets in Excel) has been further enhanced. Optimizations have also been made to the web client and its appearance.
These are the new features in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018
- Comprehensive support for setup and configuration with several setup wizards
- Central setup options simplify the creation of new clients
- Deep integration of Office 365 through the use of the "Common Data Service" (data platform for exchanging Microsoft business applications, apps and services)
- Employee booking sheetsEmployees can now also be selected in posting sheets in addition to creditors and debtors. This feature is used, for example, for the payment of travel expenses
- Task lists: similar to Outlook, task lists can be created. These can refer to certain ERP-specific tasks or be linked to defined pages or reports.
- Automated intercompany transactions can significantly speed up processes for intercompany postings

Dynamics NAV - What's next?
Two further releases are due to follow in spring 2018: An on-premise solution that includes all NAV functionalities and a cloud-based version that is split into different functional areas.
